If you know the Vancouver Basketball scene, you will know the name Diego Kapelan. Diego starred at King George Secondary School before moving down south to play Div I at McNeese State. In his senior season, Diego averaged 15 points starting in all 32 games that he played. Upon graduating from McNeese, Diego began his professional career in Europe. Seven years later and Diego is still playing, as he has departed for Lithuania to play with BC Šiauliai.
Diego said “I'm looking forward to playing in a city and country that loves and knows the game of basketball. I'm also looking forward to playing for a successful coach in an offense that will be high paced and suited for me to be used as not only a shooting guard but also to continue to prove myself as a point guard.”
The Vancouver Basketball Pro-Am team wishes Diego luck in his Eighth Professional season.
