WEEK 06: GAME PREVIEWS

Aug 27, 2018
Vancouver Basketball Pro-Am

WEEK 06 - As the the Vancouver Basketball Pro-Am season enters the final stretch, the gap in the standings is closing and it’s getting crowded at the top. Check up on all the match-ups for Week 06 here.

West Coast vs Team XV

Both teams are in the top four of the standings with only one loss each. West Coast continues to roll on opponents with their depth while Team XV gets exceptional play from their guards. This match-up could have huge implications at the end of the season when a playoff spot is on the line.

Falcons vs Thunderbirds

The second game of the night in Week 06 is another marquee match-up between the Falcons and Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds have yet to lose a game while the Falcons suffered their first loss of the season last week against Academy. Jadon Cohee and Manroop Clair will be relied upon to lead the Thunderbirds while Brody Greig will have to push the pace for the Falcons.

Blues vs Vikes

The Blues are still looking for their first win of the season and will look to get it against the Vikes. Having lost their last few games, the Vikes will rely on Chris McLaughlin and Calvin Smith to lead them over the Blues. Look for the Blues to come out hungry and aggressive right from the jump.

Royals vs Academy

After an upset win over the Falcons last week behind the dazzling performance of Marek Klassen, Academy will need the team to step-up big as Klassen has returned overseas to continue his Professional career in Turkey. The Royals with their full team now in Vancouver and entering training camp are looking for their second consecutive win as well. With their depth, look for the Royals to make some noise down the stretch.

Games tip-off this Monday August 27th at 7:00pm at The Richmond Olympic Oval.
