Week 06 could be looked back at as the week that solidified teams positions in the standings. Go back and watch the livestreams from all four games here.

West Coast has been looking sharp all season, and Monday night was no different as they took on a short handed Team XV. With the inside presence of Drew Urquhart and Donte Makazu causing all kinds of problems for the guard heavy Team XV baskets came easy and often on the inside. For Team XV, Santa Clara commit, Miguel Tomley carried the offensive load, but it was not enough, as West Coast would achieve their fifth consecutive win.

The highlight match-up of the night between the Falcons and Thunderbirds did not disappoint. Though missing a few players, the Falcons would get a big night from Jit Lohcham who would hit eight 3’s on the night to lead the Falcons. The Thunderbirds would get big nights from Pat Simon, Manroop Clair, and Grant Shephard who all put in 20+ points. With that kind of production, the Thunderbirds could not be beat as the would take the 101-92 victory to stay undefeated.

The Vikes would bring a full roster to Week 06 after suffering a forfeit loss in Week 05. Behind Chris McLaughlin and his 28 points, the Vikes would use their size inside to their advantage banging away at the smaller Blues defenders. For the Blues, Denver Sparks-Guest was the bright spot, going for 37 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Vikes would take the 102-84 win.

Fresh off of a big mid-season win against the Falcons last week, Academy wanted to go on a winning streak against the Royals. Michael Provenzano would lead the way going a perfect 6/6 from behind the arc this week, while a strong defensive performance from the Academy would hold the Royals to just 65 points. For the Royals, Tyrone Asenoguan would lead a full roster with 15 points and 6 rebounds.

The teams return to the court next Monday September 3rd for Week 07 at Richmond Olympic Oval. Games tip-off at 7:00pm.
